Purolator Appoints Jonathan Routledge Vice President, Sales & Marketing

Jericho, New York – March 15 – John T. Costanzo, President of Purolator International, the leading provider of U.S. - Canada logistics services and subsidiary of Canada’s largest integrated delivery services provider, Purolator Inc, has announced the promotion of Jonathan Routledge, District Manager, Eastern U.S., to the position of Vice President, Sales & Marketing, effective March 2012.

In his new role and in keeping with Purolator International’s business strategy, Routledge will focus on marketing and sales initiatives. As a member of Purolator’s executive leadership team, he will report directly to John Costanzo.  “Purolator International is expanding, opening new locations across the U.S.,” said Costanzo.  “Jon’s 25 years in the global logistics industry will be extremely valuable in guiding us forward.”

Purolator International announced an aggressive expansion plan upon re-entering the U.S. market in 2001.  This expansion has included the opening of 10 new branch offices in 2011 in markets such as San Francisco, Minneapolis, Boston and Salt Lake City to facilitate cross border logistics for shipments traveling between the U.S. and Canada.  This year, Purolator anticipates opening 10 new office locations in key U.S. markets.

A native of Great Britain, Routledge’s career in global logistics began in the U.K. DHL Express accounting department before he was recruited into the sales division where he distinguished himself as an innovative manager. In 2002 he relocated to the U.S. to become DHL Regional Sales Director.  By 2005 he was named Vice President of International Sales and, in 2007, Vice President of Sales.

Following his distinguished 23-year career at DHL, in 2009 he moved to Streamlite Inc, a package delivery company, where he served as Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing.  In 2011, he joined Purolator International in the Farmingdale, NY location.

Routledge earned a degree in business management from the University of Manchester in Manchester, United Kingdom and is an active member of the U.K.-based Institute of Sales and Marketing Management professional development organization.

In addition to his executive duties, Routledge represents Purolator International within the industry, most recently presenting on “The Surge of E-Commerce in the Canadian Market” at last month’s World Mail Express Convention in Florida.
