Ocean World Lines Opens New Office in Singapore Today
OWL to control and manage all import and export activities for its customers in the region
Lake Success, New York – Ocean World Lines (OWL), a global door-to-door and end-to-end NVOCC, is opening a new office today in Singapore in line with its expanding presence in the Asia-Pacific region.
The office is offering a single source for air, ocean, cargo management, and Asia regional distribution and is allowing OWL to manage all import and export activities for its customers without the use of an agent.
Heading up the new office is Alvin Lee who assumes the position of director and who joins OWL with more than 20 years of experience in global air, ocean, cargo management, and regional distribution in the Singapore market, as well as the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) region.
According to Eric Seamon, vice president Asia, OWL is opening the new office to ensure customers in Singapore and in the region have access to the high quality service levels OWL has become known for around the world. “We move a large amount of import and export cargo through Singapore and we wanted to take 100% control of our own operations,” he said. “Singapore’s duty-free zone status makes OWL’s distribution center a prime location for replenishing local and regional demand.”
“The office also provides us with a foothold in the ASEAN-based countries and we will be expanding our operations in the region very quickly over the next few months. We will eventually use Singapore as our Southeast Asia headquarters and it will act as a central ‘hub’ for data input/quality control for our cargo management services in the region,” said Seamon.
The new office is located at Ocean World Lines (S) PTE LTD., 45 Changi South Avenue 2, #02-00 Singapore 486133.
