Ryder Executive Appointment Announcement

Ryder Appoints Keyvan Bohlooli as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer
MIAMI, FL, Sep 14, 2010

Ryder System, Inc. (NYSE: R), a leader in transportation and supply chain management solutions, today announced it has selected Keyvan Bohlooli to serve as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Mr. Bohlooli will replace Kevin Bott, who will be retiring following a 15-year career with Ryder.

Mr. Bohlooli joins Ryder after more than 20 years with NextEra Energy, Inc. (formerly FPL Group), where he most recently served as Vice President of Information Management of NextEra Energy Resources, which included the innovative Wind Power Development division. Over the course of his career, Mr. Bohlooli has gained a broad base of leading edge IT experience, including: building organizations, infrastructure and applications to support rapid growth; envisioning and implementing technology innovations to deliver business value; as well as developing and directing Six Sigma innovation teams.

In his new role, Mr. Bohlooli will be responsible for all aspects of Ryder's IT organization, including technology vision and strategy, operations and project management, infrastructure and software development, resource optimization and systems development lifecycle.
