PROLOGIS LEASES 449,000 SQUARE FEET IN EUROPE
AMSTERDAM – Sept. 15, 2010 – ProLogis (NYSE: PLD), a leading global provider of distribution facilities, announced today it has signed third-quarter lease agreements in previously unleased space totaling approximately 449,000 square feet (41,700 square meters) with three customers in Europe.
“Our customers in Europe remain focused on improving supply chain efficiencies, which drives the demand for functional, modern distribution space,” said Philip Dunne, ProLogis president of Europe. “We are very pleased to announce these new lease agreements in recently developed distribution centers, and are encouraged by the continued signs of stabilization and improvement in the industrial real estate market.”
Recent activity included leases with:
· A global logistics and freight services company, which will occupy 273,000 square feet (25,400 square meters) at ProLogis Park Venlo Building Three. The building is located in the city of Venlo, the Netherlands, near the intersection of the A67 and A73 Motorways that connect Rotterdam to Düsseldorf and Arnhem/Nijmegen to Maastricht.
- ArchiDoc, a leader in document management outsourcing solutions. The company will occupy 116,000 square feet (11,800 square meters) at ProLogis Park Chorzów Building Eight, located in Chorzów, Poland, near the A4 motorway that connects Germany with the Ukraine.
- Hellmann Worldwide Logistics Polska, a third-party logistics provider. One of ProLogis’ longstanding customers, the company will occupy 60,000 square feet (5,800 square meters) at ProLogis ParkChorzów Building Nine.
