England Logistics’ Charles F. Myers named to Board of Directors for the International Refrigerated Transportation Association (IRTA)

Salt Lake City, Utah – October 11, 2010 – Charles F. Myers, Director of International Business Development at England Logistics, a leader in global logistics, and wholly owned subsidiary of C.R. England, was named to the 2010 Board of Directors for the International Refrigerated Transportation Association (IRTA). The IRTA Board of Directors was originally established, and continues to exist, as a guiding resource to the transportation industry for chilled and frozen food products.

As the Director of International Business Development at England Logistics, Myers is responsible for development of dry and cold chain logistics markets in countries outside of North America, with current emphasis on cold chain transportation in the People’s Republic of China. He has been involved in transportation since 1974 and is extensively published as a writer in the field, including numerous articles and two books. Mr. Myers has been very active in the association’s international development projects, representing IRTA at the East African Community Ministerial Delegation Transportation Sector Policy Dialogue in Washington, DC and as a presenter in China for the USTDA sponsored Cold Chain Best Practices Seminar Series. He has been called on to provide his expertise in transportation and logistics for numerous proposals developed by the International Programs team. Mr. Myers will assume a three-year term at his new post.

Founded in 1994, the IRTA’s mission is to “cultivate, foster and develop commercial and trade relations between those engaged in all aspects of producing, importing, exporting, transporting, warehousing and otherwise dealing with commodities requiring temperature and/or atmospheric controls and related services.” Its membership includes individuals from a host of companies actively engaged in refrigerated food logistics. Acting as a forum for the exchange of information and ideas, the IRTA, and its’ board members, are relied upon for accurate, timely data and to protect the interests of its members.
