BARRY SOLOMON JOINS SALES TEAM AT MIQ LOGISTICS


OVERLAND PARK, Kan., January 10, 2013 – MIQ Logistics is pleased to announce that Barry Solomon joined its Sales team as manager of Business Development. Solomon, based out of the Los Angeles area, has responsibility for strategic account development and new business efforts.

“Barry has spent his career working alongside those with hands-on responsibility for customs brokerage, import, export, air and ocean freight forwarding, and logistics. This gives him the solid operational background to help customers address business issues with supply chain solutions,” says John Carr, president MIQ Logistics. “His customers hold him in high regard for his excellent service, and that makes him a perfect fit for MIQ Logistics, where customer relationships are valued.”

Prior to joining MIQ Logistics, Solomon worked in account management at FedEx, Damco USA (a division of Maersk Logistics) and Hankyu International Transportation and as an outside sales representative for Emery/Menlo Worldwide.

Solomon is a graduate of California State University-Northridge and is a member of the World Trade Association of Southern California, Air Freight Forwarders Association, and Student Marketing Association (alumni services).
