Surgere, Inc. Announcement

Green, Ohio - January 18, 2013 - Surgere, Inc. is happy to announce that Timothy Nickel has joined the company as the Vice President of Operations.

Nickel is responsible for Operations, Quality Systems, Engineering, Program Management and Purchasing. Nickel and his team deliver all internal and daily client facing operations activities for clients like International Automotive Components (IAC), DANA Holding Corp., ALCOA, BestBuy, Ford Motor Company, and The Timken Company to name a few.

Nickel received a B.S. in Packaging from Michigan State University in 1996.

Prior to joining Surgere, Nickel worked for 3M, General Motors, Ford Motor Company, and Visteon Corporation in Van Buren Charter Township, Michigan, where his role was the Global Manager - Packaging Engineering.

"I believe that packaging plays a pivotal role in contributing to the success or failure of a supply chain.  Effective, well planned and executed packaging is a catalyst for highly efficient logistics and operations.  With rising fuel costs and lengthening supply lines, poor packaging can truly be an operation's achilles heel." said Nickel.

"We're excited to have Tim on board. He brings with him a wealth of industry knowledge along with real, hands-on supply chain experience. We're excited to leverage his abilities to continue to provide top-notch expertise and professional service to our clients. Tim is considered an industry thought leader on durable/returnable container management which aligns perfectly with Surgere's mission to be the industry standard in Packaging optimization," said William Wappler, president of Surgere, Inc.

Nickel was the 2010 Recipient of  "AIAG Outstanding Achievement Award" and has served as Chairman/Co-Chairman in numerous Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) initiatives which drive up industry standards for improving container management techniques and global packaging standardization.

Surgere, Inc. is a company whose direction and products are tightly focused on packaging supply chain optimization programs and are centered on advanced packaging engineering, technology, sourcing, and operational processes.  Their clients include Timken, ALCOA, IAC Group, Tyco, Best Buy, TS Tech, and Ford among many other well known brands.
